Infertility

In general, infertility is defined as not being able to get pregnant (conceive) after one year (or longer) of unprotected sex. Because fertility in women is known to decline steadily with age, women aged 35 years or older can be evaluated and treated after 6 months of unprotected sex.

  • SEMEN ANALYSIS

Male factor infertility accounts for approximately 30% of infertile couples A semen analysis is often recommended when pregnancy is not achieved after 6 months of unprotected intercourse.  The test will help a doctor determine if a man is infertile. The analysis help determine if low sperm count or sperm dysfunction is the reason behind infertility.

  • OVARIAN ASSESSMENT TESTING

The Ovarian Assessment Report looks at multiple hormones from a single blood sample and a woman’s age. Using a special formula, the test combines this information and calculates the Egg Supply Score (ESS) for a woman. It can more accurately assess a woman’s available egg supply and predict her response to ovarian stimulation medications.

  • Hysterosalpingography is a radiologic study that determines if there are any intrauterine adhesions or tubal obstruction which could hinder the sperm and the egg from joining.
